Johann Jacob (John)  LeppBorn in 1889, Bruchsal, Karlsruhe, Baden, Germany. Son of Jacob Johann Lepp and Anna Ernst

Ex-Tsingtao (1914) with the rank of Chief Petty Officer (Obermaat) with the sailors artillery in the 5th Company. In November 1914 he was prisoner in the Kumamoto camp (# 4402) and gave Bruchsal as his home address. In 1918 he is moved to the Narashino camp. Released in December 1919.

In 1922 employed with Technical Firm Unicum in Sukabumi as mechanical engineer. Address in 1935: Logeweg 16 in Bandung. In some documents he is noted as car mechanic. In others as engineer with the Hollandsche Beton Maatschappij in Palembang.

He married Bertha Scipio on 18 September 1921 in Bandung. Bertha was born in Semarang on 19 December 1895.

Shipped with the Van Imhoff and drowned. In 1942, his parents were already deceased.
